Ivan is a young boy who lives with both parents suffering from extreme sicknesses because of HIV/AIDS.  Ivan says “I love playing football with my brother, I enjoy eating beans and smashed sweet potatoes. I help my mother with fetching a 1 liter jerry can of water at the well."

Ivan loves Monkeys because they laugh a lot and he loves seeing them jumping on trees. Though he is only in primary school for now, he dreams of being a man who flies planes one day! His favorite color is yellow because "the sun that gives light is yellow."
